Dior just opened up its beachwear archive, and we’re taking notes.

The edit looks back at the ways the house has approached summer dressing over the decades, bringing together beachwear, resort silhouettes and the details that have made Dior’s holiday wardrobe so recognisable. It is a history of summer style told through the Dior lens: polished, considered and always connected to the house’s broader language of elegance.

What makes the archive so interesting is the way it shows that resort dressing has never been an afterthought. Swimwear, cover-ups, accessories and relaxed pieces all become part of a complete wardrobe, designed for the space between the beach, the hotel and the city.

The collection also reflects Dior’s current interest in looking backwards to move forward. Archive pieces and house codes are being revisited, not as exact reproductions, but as references that can be reinterpreted for now.

A look back at decades of summer dressing, the Dior way.
