Kylie Jenner for Stella McCartney’s Wild Horses campaign. Visually, we’re obsessed.
Directed by Gia Coppola, the Winter 2026 campaign places Jenner on a Pacific coastline alongside a trained horse, wearing a liquid-silver chainmail halter top, a lace-trimmed black slip dress and a draped hot-pink satin top. The imagery is dreamy, cinematic and undeniably striking, especially with the new Appaloosa bag, inspired by Linda McCartney’s beloved stallion Lucky Spot, appearing throughout.
But Stella has always had this earthy, natural, conscious identity, and Kylie isn’t exactly the first person who comes to mind.
The campaign is rooted in McCartney’s lifelong love of horses and her advocacy for animal welfare. It draws attention to the vulnerability of America’s wild horses and includes a donation to equine welfare charities worldwide. Jenner’s role is framed around connection, patience and respect between humans and animals, an idea that feels more aligned with Stella’s world than her usual ultra-glamorous image might suggest.
Still, the contrast is hard to ignore. Kylie’s extravagant, high-visibility persona brings enormous reach, but it also risks making the campaign feel more about celebrity power than the quiet, natural values Stella McCartney has built her brand around.
We love the campaign, but does Kylie’s ultra-glamorous, extravagant image really fit Stella’s world? Clever casting or a bit of a contradiction?
Perhaps both. The visuals are beautiful, the message is meaningful, and the pairing certainly gets people talking, which may be exactly the point.
