First introduced in 2008, Proenza Schouler’s PS1 is back as the PS1 Walker.
Reimagined under creative director Rachel Scott in collaboration with Reed Krakoff, the new version keeps the original’s utilitarian, downtown feel while giving it a softer and more relaxed attitude. The familiar messenger shape remains, as do the signature silver latch and buckle straps, but the structure has been gently loosened.
The sharp top handle has been replaced by a soft shoulder strap, while the front flap has been simplified and the layered stitching reduced. Made from slouchier Italian leather, the bag feels less architectural than the original and more naturally suited to everyday life.
Named after the Walker Street studio where Proenza Schouler began, the PS1 Walker arrives in three sizes: Mini, Medium and Large. Colourways range from black, white, camel and brown to butter yellow, mellow blue and suede finishes.
Prices start at $1,650 for the Mini and rise to $2,590 for the Large, with pre-orders opening on September 19 ahead of the January 2027 launch. It is a thoughtful revival rather than a nostalgic copy — familiar enough to feel like the PS1, but relaxed enough to belong to a new generation.
